ouch! hopefully the screw up on your order will be worked out before they charge your credit card

i've heard both positive and negative regarding the E72 box set; of the negative, i have heard that the whole thing was rushed; that the ephemera and add'l stuff was not as promised; that there are digital artifacts; that the music sounds murky and is not the best transfer; i've also read that the recordings are not 'complete' as was stated, and that the dubbed versions were used rather than the original recordings

basically, i'm waiting to hear a full report from Cliff, as he seems to be the most familiar with the music from that particular tour, and with the various sources, and he has a fairly good sense of how the music sounds, and can speak intelligently on the matter

Hey, Arb. I've only listened to a few discs so far (all of 5-18, DS>SM from 4-14, and I'm up to Loser from 5-10), but I'm loving it. Sound is rich and detailed from my POV. Phil's just right in the mix. Keith seems strangely low, but I can't say I mind that too much. I haven't listened to 4-7 or 4-8 yet, but purists who started there may have heard enough room noise from that hall to give a muddy sound. I'll have to check an E72 track to see if they used the dubbed vocals.

Lou, very glad to hear that you are enjoying the music! I definitely trust your musical acumen, and hope that i feel the same. Unfortunately, there was a screwup on my order and i won't be receiving for another couple of weeks or thereabouts.

"and can speak intelligently on the matter"

Ok, first, it is not my intent to be condescending here but have you actually listened to the box before manifesting all these various assumptions?

Listen Up and then post!

okay pea-brain, i was merely commenting on what i have read elsewhere regarding the Europe '72 boxset; should i ever get the chance to listen myself, i will of course give my own opinions on the matter if i feel inclined
